Beck's Ride Lonesome Tour date at Vancouver's Queen Elizabeth Theatre has moved from Wednesday, September 16 to Monday, November 9, 2026. Production issues forced the rescheduling of the tour's first three shows, and tickets already purchased will be honoured on the new date. What changed
Vancouver was supposed to be night one. When Beck announced the Ride Lonesome Tour in the spring, the Queen Elizabeth Theatre held the opening slot of a 25-date North American run, which would have put the city two days ahead of the album's September 18 release. That distinction is gone. Production issues have pushed the tour's first three shows to the back of the calendar, and the run now begins September 22 at the Santa Barbara Bowl.
Vancouver is not the only city affected. Portland's date moves from September 19 to November 10 at the Keller Auditorium, and the Woodinville, Washington show at Chateau Ste. Michelle has been cancelled outright and relocated to Seattle's Benaroya Hall on November 8. Ticket holders for the cancelled Woodinville date are being refunded, with a dedicated presale for the Seattle show ahead of the general on-sale. Vancouver and Portland ticket holders do not need to do anything: the same tickets are good for the new dates.
The upside of going last
Losing an opening night is a real loss for a city that rarely gets one. But there is a decent argument that November is the better ticket. A tour opener is a band's first night in front of an audience with a brand new record; by November 9, Beck and his band will have played more than twenty shows, the arrangements will be settled, and Ride Lonesome will have been in the world for nearly two months. Vancouver now lands second-to-last on the itinerary, one night after Seattle and one before Portland, which is the stretch of a tour where setlists tend to loosen up and the deep cuts start appearing.
Ride Lonesome is Beck's first collection of new songs since 2019's Hyperspace. He recorded it at United Studios in Hollywood with musicians who played on Mutations, Sea Change and Morning Phase, which points the record toward the quieter, acoustic end of his catalogue rather than the sample-heavy one. The title track arrived in April, followed by "In the Night" in July and "Disappearing Act" in August.
Frequently asked questions
Is the Beck Vancouver show cancelled?
No. It has been rescheduled from September 16 to November 9, 2026, at the same venue, the Queen Elizabeth Theatre.
Do I need to exchange my tickets?
No. Tickets purchased for the September 16 date will be honoured on November 9. Hold onto them, and check your email or your Ticketmaster account for the updated event details.
What if I cannot make the new date?
Contact your original point of purchase. Refund terms for rescheduled shows are set by the promoter and the ticketing provider, so the seller you bought from is the place to start.
When does the Ride Lonesome Tour actually start now?
September 22 at the Santa Barbara Bowl. The three rescheduled West Coast dates now close the tour in November, after the original finale in Nashville on October 31.
