Vancouver Concert Photographer
Sixteen years in the pit. More than 1,600 shows documented across every significant venue in Vancouver.
Who you’d be hiring
Michael Caswell has photographed live music for 16+ years across every genre - rock, indie, metal, hip-hop, electronic, pop, punk and everything between. Based in Vancouver, BC, available worldwide for tours, festivals, corporate events and one-off shows. Fly me out.
The work is about what a show actually feels like from the pit: the split-second gestures, the lighting you’d never see from the back row, the moments most cameras miss. Every photograph on this site was made at a real show, in real lighting, with nothing staged and nothing fabricated.
Hundreds of touring artists over the years, from arena headliners to bands playing their first venue. The archive is the record of that work, post by post, night by night.
Common questions
How much does a concert photographer cost in Vancouver?
Rates depend on the shoot: a single support slot, a full headline set, a multi-day festival, or a tour run all price differently. Licensing scope matters as much as shoot time - press-only use costs less than a full commercial buyout. Get in touch with the date, venue and intended use for a custom quote.
How fast is turnaround on concert photos?
Selects can be delivered same night for press and social deadlines. A full edited gallery is typically ready within 48 hours.
Can I license photos from a show you already shot?
Often, but it depends on the show - licensing rights are agreed per shoot with the artist, label or management, so they vary across the archive. Tell me the artist, the date and what you need it for and I will confirm what is available.
