A St. Patrick's run that starts in February
The Boston band's annual St. Patrick's Day run has become a fixture of the touring calendar, and the 2027 edition begins early, with the first shows in New Mexico and Arizona on February 5 and 6. Vancouver is the sixth date and the first of the Canadian shows, followed straight away by Penticton, Calgary, Edmonton, Saskatoon and two nights in Winnipeg before the tour heads east through Ontario and Quebec and wraps in New England in mid-March.
The PNE Forum is a natural fit. The band's blend of Celtic punk, bagpipes, tin whistle and singalong choruses plays best in rooms where the crowd can sing every word back, and the Forum's open floor suits a show that is as much a pub gathering as a concert. Expect a long set drawing on the band's catalogue, including crowd favourites such as I'm Shipping Up to Boston.
The support acts
Home Front and Spiritual Cramp are listed as support on the run, according to the tour announcement. That makes for a loud, punk-forward night from the first act to the last, rather than a headliner with a token opener.
For more shows around the city, browse the Vancouver concert calendar.
