The two-time Grammy-winning South African pop star has announced the A*Pop World Tour, and the 34-date global run includes a stop at the Doug Mitchell Thunderbird Sports Centre on Sunday, November 15, 2026. A*Pop, and an artist on a tear
A*Pop, released in July 2026 via FAX and Epic Records, is Tyla's second studio album and the centerpiece of this tour. Across its 14 tracks she pushes past the Amapiano sound that first made her a breakout, folding in R&B, dancehall and house and leaning hard into pop on singles like "Chanel," "She Did It Again" with Zara Larsson, and "Is It Love." The record caps a remarkable stretch that started with her 2024 breakthrough "Water," a three-times platinum single that won the inaugural Grammy for Best African Music Performance.
This is comfortably the biggest tour of Tyla's career. It opens in Paris on October 12, threads through Europe and the UK, then crosses to North America for a November and December run before finishing with African dates in Lagos, Cape Town and Johannesburg. The Vancouver show lands early on the North American leg, tucked between a San Francisco date and a Seattle stop, and it is the only Western Canadian appearance on the itinerary. The Thunderbird arena at UBC is a right-sized room for a performer whose live show has climbed quickly from clubs to festival main stages.
Vancouver is catching her at a peak. Over the past year Tyla became the first international artist to headline the halftime show at the WNBA All-Star Game, performed the new album on network television within hours of its release, and wrapped a sold-out 2025 run through Asia.
