TWICE officially kicked off their 2026 tour schedule with a spectacular, high-energy opening night at Rogers Arena. As the first show of the year following a brief holiday hiatus, the energy in the building was electric, fuelled by a crowd that had been waiting since the “Likey” music video was famously filmed in this very city years ago.
The show was performed “in the round,” providing an intimate feel despite the massive, sold-out crowd. While the first half of the show was a masterclass in K-pop precision (featuring sharp choreography and high-concept visuals), the real magic happened as the night progressed and the members began to let their guards down.
The standout portion of the night was undoubtedly Act 4. After a series of intense, highly produced numbers, the group transitioned into a more casual segment. Dressed in more relaxed attire, the members seemed to be having the most fun of the night.
- Interaction: The interaction with the on-stage cameraman provided some of the most endearing moments of the evening, with the members playing up to the lens and smiling constantly.
- Fan Engagement: The “Dance Cam Battles” were a huge hit, providing plenty of laughs as fans in the audience competed to show off their best TWICE moves on the big screens.
- The Band: The live band was a phenomenal addition to this tour. Their dedicated interlude allowed them to truly shine as musicians, and their chemistry with the group added a rich, organic layer to the pop arrangements.
While the set list was packed with hits, “Right Hand Girl” stood out as a personal favourite, capturing the perfect blend of the group’s vocal talent and the live band’s energy. Other notable inclusions included the tour debut of “SCIENTIST” and “LIKEY” during the encore: a perfect nod to their history with Vancouver.
Both the January 9th and January 10th shows at Rogers Arena were sold out, cementing TWICE’s status as a global powerhouse. For those attending the second night, expectations are high for another evening of “no opener” non-stop energy.
TWICE proved on night one that while they are masters of choreography, it is their genuine joy and personality, especially in those unscripted, casual moments, that truly connect with the fans.
